Day 1 - Tuesday (D)
Board 'The Spirit of the Outback' and check-in to your 1stÊClass sleepers for a colourful rail journey through the Central West.Ê Enjoy cosy dining onboard where the themed Tuckerbox Restaurant is an experience in itself.Ê Enjoy a quiet drink and chat with your fellow travellers in the club and lounge cars as we wind our way west venturing through the heritage towns of Blackwater, Emerald and Barcaldine before arriving in Longreach.Ê

Outback Skies
Day 2 - Wednesday (B, L, D)
Meet and greet at Longreach and transfer to your Motel for a welcome BBQ. Overnight Longreach.
Day 3 - Thursday (B, MT, L, D)
Depart Longreach for Cloncurry visiting the famous Blue Heeler Hotel and the Crocodile Dundee Walkabout Creek hotel. We explore the John Flynn Memorial. Overnight Cloncurry. (536km)
Day 4 - Friday (B, L, D)

Gulflander Train
We travel north to the Burke & Will's Roadhouse for a break.Ê Travelling on we cross the Flinder's River to rendezvous with the famous Gulflander Rail journey. We board the old 'Tin Hare' at Critters Camp for a journey through the Gulf Savannah bush land stopping on the famous Norman River for a picnic lunch. Onto Normanton Railway Station with time to explore the Museum. Discover the big crocodile, the purple pub, and historical buildings. We continue on to Karumba where we check into our accommodation and freshen up for the fisherman's catch BBQ over looking the mouth of the Gulf of Carpentaria. Overnight Karumba. (514km)
Day 5 - Saturday (B, L, D)
Explore the port of Karumba enjoying the Barramundi Discovery Centre and experience a live breeding program. After lunch, enjoy the ultimate Karumba experience aboard the Croc and Crab afternoon and Sunset Boat Tour.Ê Savour the style, seafood and unforgettable hospitality.Ê Tonight enjoy famous seafood of prawns and crab on the Gulf of Carpentaria soaking up yet another sunset over water where the outback meets the sea. Cobbold Gorge
Day 6 - Sunday (B, L, D)
Depart Karumba for Croydon and enjoy the amazing Gold Mining Heritage travelling further east we arrive into Georgetown in time for the terrestrial centre, featuring the Elliott Mineral collection. We travel onto Cobbold Gorge for a late afternoon check in with time to freshen up for a relaxing evening. (463km)
Day 7 - Monday (B, L, D)
Relax into a half day tour. Take in a cruise of Cobbold Gorge, a short walk into the escarpment for fresh water crocodile viewing and visit Corbett's Pioneer Grave, the perfect lunch setting.Ê After a chance to freshen up, enjoy the station tour amongst incredible geology and operational challenges. Overnight Cobbold Gorge. (45km)
Day 8 - Tuesday (B, L, D)
We travel into Forsyth to depart on the Savannahlander, for the most scenic section of this whole rail journey arriving into the quaint town of Einasleigh. Explore the Copperfield Gorge and much more.Ê Arrive at Mt Surprise mid afternoon to check in and happy hour.Overnight Bedrock Village. (161km)
Day 9 - Wednesday (B, L, D)

Sunset on the Gulf
Today meet some of the local characters at Rocky Springs Cattle Station.Ê Explore the Undara Lava Tubes, one of the longest lava flows in the world. Lunch today is 3 course smorgasbords at the Undara Lodge. Return to Bedrock Village in time to freshen up for dinner and a campfire Sing-along. Overnight Bedrock Village. (150km)
Day 10 - Thursday (B, L)
We travel through the McBride volcanic province and onto Greenvale, famous for its old Nickel Mine and Slim Dusty's song. We take the Harvey's Range Road down to Townsville after lunch. Transferring mid afternoon to the Sunlander bound for Brisbane after another amazing Fun Over 50 and Outback Aussie Tours delivered Outback Holiday experience. (470km)
Day 11 - Friday
Arrive Brisbane via the Sunlander Rail Journey after the most amazing contrasts that you could ever imagine at the most enjoyable pace.
