Day 1 - Wednesday (MT, L, D)
Departing Brisbane we travel south to the green Tweed Valley, taking in the spectacular views and the rolling hills of the Northern Rivers. We then cross the Mullumbimby range into Lismore for morning tea. Travelling west through the well known town of Casino, we climb through the open grasslands toward the new England Plateau where we will break for lunch at the Tenterfield Golf Club. We then head south through the early mining town of Glen Innes, the highest town on the Plateau, Guyra. Our first evening is spent at the Country Comfort Motor Inn at Armidale.
Day 2 - Thursday (B, MT, L, D)

Berida Manor
We start today with morning tea and a tour of the Historic Saumarez House, the original homestead from which the district grew. Heading south we travel through the famous country music festival town of Tamworth, into the picturesque horse breeding district of Scone, before arriving in Muswellbrook for lunch. Travelling south into the Hunter Valley region through the open cut coal mining town of Singleton for an overnight stay in one of Sydney's early settlements of Windsor and Richmond Ð known for its Georgian and Victorian architecture.
Day 3 - Friday (B, L, D)
Today we head from the Hawkesbury region and travel along the base of the Blue Mountains through the city of Penrith. Heading for Campbelltown we travel through the township of Appin and descend into the Wollongong district via Bulli Pass. Lunch today at the Illawarra Yacht Club, overlooking the lake. A local guide will then join us for an informative tour of the "Steel City" and its surrounds. Leaving the coast line we head towards our destination via Albion Park, climbing through the Macquarie Pass N.P. and the colourful township of Robertson. Accommodation for the next 3 nights will be the 4 star Berida Manor.
Day 4 - Saturday (B, D)
Today we depart Bowral for the 32nd Annual Highland Gathering at Bundanoon. You will have the opportunity to experience everything from the traditional pipe bands, Highland Cavaliers and Highland dancers to the famous Brigadoon Challenge of throwing weights over a height and distance. Finishing with the massed band display, this will be a day full of traditional Scottish themed entertainment.
Day 5 - Sunday (B, L, D)
This morning we enjoy what the local area has to offer. We visit the Don Bradman Museum for an informative insight into Don Bradman and the Bowral district. From here we travel back through the town of Robertson to the "Illawarra Fly". This elevated walkway offers stunning views over the valley to Lake Illawarra and the Pacific Ocean, or you can choose to relax in the visitor centre's cafŽ and retail outlet, before making our way back to our accommodation at the Berida Manor.
Day 6 - Monday (B, MT, L, D)

Pipe Band Ð Bundanoon
We leave the Southern Highlands and head North through the majestic town of Mittagong towards Penrith and the Blue Mountains. Making our way up the mountain, where explorers Blaxland, Wentworth and Lawson carved their way across the Great Dividing Range, we stop at the Three Sisters Lookout for breath taking views and morning tea. We then head west through Lithgow, and into the farming area of Bathurst, Australia's oldest inland settlement. After lunch we take a tour of the town, before heading to the old gold mining town of Sofala to take in the old wooden buildings and narrow streets from the gold boom days. Travelling North through Ilford to the rich western wine district, we stay overnight at Mudgee.
Day 7 - Tuesday (B, MT, L, D)
After breakfast we depart the picturesque
township of Mudgee and travel to the "Town
of the ten dollar note" Ð Gulgong, to visit the
famous pioneer museum.
A quick cuppa before heading north via Coolah
through the undulating landscapes of the rich
wheat, sheep and beef farming districts west of
the Coolah tops National Park. On to Gunnedah
for lunch then we travel east toward the city
of Tamworth where we will visit the big guitar,
for one of the best displays of country music
memorabilia and the largest display of American
and Australian country CDs and DVDs. After
Tamworth we head north up the Moonbi Range,
through Uralla and towards our destination for
our overnight stay at the Country Comfort Motor
Inn at Armidale.
Day 8 - Wednesday (B, MT, L)

Racehorse Studs
Travelling north from Armidale we travel through Guyra, Glen Innes and Tenterfield, before crossing the Queensland border at Wallangarra. We travel through the famous wine growing district of Ballandean and the stone fruit and apple growing areas of Stanthorpe and the Summit. The decent from this cool climate will be obvious as you travel down to the Rodeo and Rose City of Warwick where we will enjoy lunch at the Abbey of the Roses Ex Convent for tour and lunch at this majestic lady. After lunch we head over the Cunningham Ranges through Aratula and make our way back to Brisbane.
