Day 1 - Monday (L, D)

Depart your home port arriving into Sydney airport for meet and greet by your Coach Capt. Heading west we stop for lunch at the Secret Creek Café, a native wildlife sanctuary. We continue onto the 2nd oldest town west of the Blue Mountains at Mudgee, where many buildings are classified by the National Trust. Visit the Honey Haven and browse a huge selection of local honey, gourmet produce, olives & olive oil, mead tastings & more. We continue onto the township of Gulgong, the birthplace of Henry Lawson. After dinner be entertained at "Tales of the Swag" humour, song and verse of early Australia. Overnight Ten Dollar Town Motel, Gulgong.

Day 2 - Tuesday (B, L, D)

This morning enjoy a conducted tour of Gulgong before visiting the Pioneer's Museum, the best known folk museum in NSW. We continue onto Wellington arriving in time for lunch at the Caves. Enjoy a tour and experience a prehistoric adventure exploring the popular Cathedral Cave containing the world's largest stalagmite. Next we head for Dubbo for a 2 night stay. Overnight Cascades Motor Inn, Dubbo.

Day 3 - Wednesday (B, L, D)

Our visit to the Western Plains Zoo depicts a wild and wonderful slice of Africa with animals located across wide open spaces. A guide joins the coach and gives an informative tour around the zoo. Our next stop is the fully restored Dubbo Jail which served as a penal institution until 1966, it is home to a collection of animated/talking models which give a realistic a fascinating insight into prison life. Later enjoy a guided tour of the vibrant city of Dubbo, hear first, what the textbooks don't tell you Ð some of Dubbo's many hidden secrets that keep visitors returning year after year. Overnight Cascades Motor Inn, Dubbo.

Day 4 - Thursday (B, L, D)

On leaving Dubbo we head to the grain growing areas of Coonamble & Walgett before our lunch stop at the "Club in the Scrub" with its appealing character, then via "Glengarry Hilton" and the "Sheepyard Inn" into Lightning Ridge for our 2 night stay. Here we will collect our friendly guide for a Town and Field tour. During this tour we will experience Amigo's famous castle with it incredible history, the 'stranger than fiction' Universe Observatory and the Opal Cave, check out hand crafted opal clay pottery, handcrafted jewellery and stacks of souvenirs. Overnight Lightning Ridge Hotel Motel.

Day 5 - Friday (B, L, D)

A full day to explorer this fascinating town, firstly the Walk in Mine which is an old genuine working mine that displays the worlds largest automatic hoist and other mining equipment used today. Visit the largest Cactus Nursery in the Southern Hemisphere before a visit to the "Black Queen House of Bottles" and a valuable world class Antique Lamp Museum. Enjoy Herman's famous sausage sizzle before a visit to John Murray's Art Gallery, enjoy a fossicking experience and cutting and polishing demonstration before visiting the many stores and shops in town at your leisure. Overnight, Lightning Ridge Hotel.

Day 6 - Saturday (B, L, D)

Today we head into Moree to visit the Moree Plains Gallery for a comprehensive tour, viewing Aboriginal arts and artefacts as well as a beautiful array of local and travelling exhibits. After lunch a visit to the "Trawalla" Pecan Nut Farm which is the largest and most productive pecan plantation of its type in the southern hemisphere. We are then taken on a guided tour of the Moree Township before checking into the Dragon & Phoenix Motel. Bring your swimmers so you can take the opportunity to relax in the famous Artesian Bore Bath, long recognised for their healing powers.

Day 7 - Sunday (B, L, D)

Heading south to the cotton growing area of Narrabri we visit one of Australia's most dynamic industries at the Australian Cotton Exhibition Centre, enjoy "field to fabric" the story about the world's most popular fibre before travelling to Tamworth for lunch. This afternoon we visit the "Walk a Country Mile" exhibition Ð the story of the birth of Australian Music before a visit to the Golden Guitar hall of fame. Arrive and check in at the Comfort Inn Hallmark, Tamworth.

Day 8 - Monday (B, L)

After breakfast travel through the Hunter Valley region before arriving at Newcastle airport for our return flight home.
