Join us as we discover some of the hidden charms in Melbourne and surrounds. Arrive into Melbourne Airport early afternoon to board our opulent ‘Diamond Class’ coach as we make our way into the hub of Melbourne.
5 Night Stay: Crowne Plaza, Melbourne CBD, River View Rooms
Arriving at Werribee Mansion, we take a guided tour unveiling the Italianate-style architecture and Victorian period interiors along with a garden tour of the Victoria State Rose Garden, home to 5000 roses. After lunch we take an off road safari at Werribee Open Range Zoo, taking in the sights of the savannah discovering wildlife including zebras, giraffes, the rhino and inquisitive meerkats.
Discover the Dandenong Ranges, travelling through picturesque low mountain ranges. Next we board the Puffing Billy train travelling first class enjoying a three hour steam train journey whilst savouring a delicious lunch in fully enclosed heritage dining carriages. As the train whistle signals entrees are served before we cross the historic Monbulk Creek Trestle Bridge. The journey continues through temperate rainfores, dense fern foliage and wide-open fields. We arrive at Lakeside Station where we have time to disembark the train and explore the park, home to abundant birdlife. We re-board for our return journey finishing off with dessert.

We reunite this evening for a night out at Her Majesty’s Theatre. Today we take in the Melbourne International Flower Show. Staged within the world heritage-listed Royal Exhibition Building, this prestigious show is a colourful celebration of our Australian lifestyle and great outdoors. Delve into this world of floral mastery at your leisure then tonight celebrate our last evening together over a sumptuous dinner at Melbourne’s opulent Conservatory. With stunning Yarra views, marble floors and lavish décor, Conservatory is a feast for the eyes and the stomach, with an exciting spread of cuisine set to delight every palate. ** Lunch is at own expense today.
A leisurely start to the day before we make our way to Tullamarine Airport for our respective flights home.
