Flights arrive in Cairns late afternoon, where we are transferred to our hotel for check in. This evening we enjoy dinner in 5 star luxury.
Enjoy a leisurely start to today. We check out of our rooms and take a short 500m stroll from the hotel to the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal for our launch to Green Island, just 45 minutes across the Coral Sea by fast catamaran. This beautiful island is a coral cay within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park; one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. On arrival, enjoy some free time to wander the island before we regroup for lunch and then check into our Reef Suites. This evening we come together to enjoy a drink at sunset before a sumptuous dinner.
Today is at your leisure. The resort offers the use of snorkelling equipment, glass bottom boat tours, fish feeding presentations, chairs and umbrellas for lazing on the beach, windsurfing, canoes and kayaks and guided nature walks. Green Island is one place that you can walk off the beach and paddle a very short distance to glide above the colourful reef below. The waters around the island are home to a large population of sea turtles, and this tropical island paradise is also home to over 120 plant species and vibrant bird life.
Wake up to paradise once again and listen to the early morning bird calls that ring out across the island. Take the morning at leisure to soak up the perfect tropical Queensland weather. With an average temperature of 26 degrees, you will surely want to take another dip in the ocean, another opportunity to snorkel and see the abundant sea life. At 12pm, we bid the island farewell and board the catamaran for our launch back to tropical Cairns. On arrival at the marina, we take a short walk back to the hotel, leave our luggage with concierge and then the rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish.

Travelling Gold Class on the Kuranda Scenic Railway, enjoy a premium experience offering extra comfort and little bit of luxury. Wind your way from Cairns to Kuranda through stunning rainforest, beautiful waterfalls and past steep canyons. We stop at Barron Falls station to view this mighty waterfall. At Kuranda we take a trip of a lifetime and venture through the rainforest on an authentic Amphibious World War 2 Army Duck, where our guide explains about and points out ancient ferns and trees. Our afternoon takes us flying over the rainforest in a gondola back down to Cairns.
This morning we travel into the Daintree National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Mossman Gorge is one of the world’s oldest rainforest, dating back more than 130 million years. Immerse yourself in the local indigenous culture and take part in an Aboriginal welcome ceremony, then set out on a fascinating guided Dreamtime walk through the Mossman Gorge, including a traditional bush tea. Learn about the ecosystem through the lens of Aboriginal culture as your guide relates Dreamtime stories and local tribal customs while pointing out plants used for traditional medicine and bush tucker. Next we travel to Port Douglas, where we are given free time to purchase our own lunch and browse the nick-nack shops in the main street.
