DAY 3/4/5
Embark on the Blue Train’s opulent 2-night journey from Pretoria to Cape Town, indulging in unmatched luxury and captivating experiences. As the clock strikes noon, relish a sumptuous lunch amid diverse landscapes, setting the stage for an evening of sophistication where dinner is a refined affair. Breakfast onboard precedes an off-train excursion at Kimberley Station, exploring historical sites like the iconic Big Hole and Open Mine Museum. The train then continues its southbound journey, offering a visual feast of rolling hills and expansive plains. Exquisite on-board dining complements lounges designed for relaxation and socialising. We disembark upon arrival in Cape Town for our stay at the V&A Waterfront.
This morning we embark on a half day guided Cape Town City & Table Mountain tour. On this tour we will really get a feel for the ‘Mother City’, visiting many historical and cultural sights including the Castle of Good Hope and the colourful cottages of Bo-Kaap. We then take a trip to the top of the world, high above the clouds on the famous Aerial Tramway to Table Mountain, where we are greeted with 360 degree views of the surrounding area. Tonight, GOLD Restaurant provides an immersive dining experience, showcasing African culture. The evening starts with a traditional handwashing ritual, followed by a diverse African inspired menu. Live performances, featuring music and traditional dances, create a vibrant atmosphere.

Today we take a journey to explore the Cape Peninsula, a scenic drive that leads us to Chapman’s Peak, culminating at the Cape of Good Hope. Ascending 286 meters via The Flying Dutchman Funicular, we enjoy breathtaking views from the lighthouse. The afternoon unfolds at Boulders Beach, home to an endangered colony of African penguins. Concluding with a Seal Island cruise, we marvel at the diverse beauty of Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, set against the iconic Table Mountain of Cape Town.
Fly from Cape Town to Victoria Falls, where we are transferred to our Safari Club Resort, situated on a plateau just 4km from the majestic Victoria Falls. A free afternoon to enjoy game viewing from the comfort of the lodge’s viewing deck, pool deck or over drinks at the Buffalo Bar. Late this afternoon, we enjoy a Sundowner Cruise on the Zambezi River before returning to the resort for dinner.

This morning enjoy a guided tour of Victoria Falls, a majestic wonder recognised among the world’s seven wonders. This evening a cultural dinner and entertainment await us at the Boma Restaurant.

Departing Victoria Falls we fly to Johannesburg for an overnight stay.

Today we take a direct flight to Hoedspruit, marking the beginning of our thrilling 3-night adventure in Kruger National Park. Upon landing, we are warmly greeted and transported to our camp lodge. Take a moment to settle in even indulging in a refreshing dip to kick off our memorable stay. Ngala Private Game Reserve shares unfenced borders with the world-renowned Kruger National Park, nearly 2 million ha (4.9 million acres) of unrivalled wilderness, home to the Big Five and more species of large mammals than any other African game reserve.
DAY 12/13
There are plenty of ways to encounter the Big 5 here, from guided game drives to interpretive bush walks. When not out on game drives or guided bush walks, the pool deck around the sparkling rim-flow swimming pool is the place to be or in the shady lounges with a good book and cocktail in hand. Cuisine at the lodge is exemplary, with breakfast and lunch served in the Siyadla Lounge, and dinner enjoyed around the roaring fire in the open-sided thatch boma.
We return to Johannesburg and are transferred to our hotel. Tonight, we meet for a farewell dinner.

Today we take a guided tour exploring Soweto and its landmarks, including Nelson Mandela’s and Desmond Tutu’s houses, and the Hector Pieterson Memorial. Spend a few hours at the Apartheid Museum delving into the era’s history. Afterward, transfer to Tambo International Airport for an overnight flight back to Sydney, arriving mid-afternoon Monday.

Our coach tours have a baggage restriction of 17kg per person (regardless of flight and rail allowances) due to our Occupational Health & Safety standards. You can also bring one small, soft carry-on bag not exceeding 30cm wide, 30cm high, and 15cm thick that may be stowed in the overhead compartment.

Our Gold Class coaches have a seat capacity of between 44 and 46, but we cap Gold Class tours at 40 guests per tour. Our Diamond Class tours have a capacity of just 26 guests.
