Heading from Perth, the train calls into the township of Kalgoorlie. There’s a fascinating night tour of Hannan's North Tourist Mine and a visit to the Super Pit which is so large it can be seen from space!
If taking the Indian Pacific Rail journey from Sydney to Perth, a stop at Broken Hill offers a drag show at the Palace Hotel where scenes from Priscilla Queen of the Desert were filmed.
In Adelaide, enjoy a progressive breakfast at Central Market or visit the Barossa Valley wine region. In the Blue Mountains walk the Scenic Skyway with spectacular views of the famous Three Sisters, then onto the Jamison Valley and Katoomba Falls.

The Indian Pacific train journey tour runs over four days and three nights – a total of 65 hours. Guests can also opt to join this iconic train journey for shorter trips from Adelaide to Perth or Sydney to Adelaide.
Yes! All restaurant-quality meals, onboard beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) as well as off-train experiences are included in the ticket price. Guests may choose to purchase additional items onboard or do personal shopping at the various stops along the way.
From September 2020, as part of a $12 million refurbishment, the number of carriages on the Indian Pacific increased from 29 to 36, extending the length of the train from 750 metres to around 880 metres. The number of passengers at capacity is currently 260, plus crew.
Yes! The Indian Pacific entertainment includes either a solo artist or a duo who perform both on and off the train throughout the journey.
